In this story I had to see myself as an onlooker. I suspect my sins lean heavily toward things I have not done, but often seriously considered. Throughout these devotions I keep seeing the loving eyes of Jesus and my prayer is to see my world more as Jesus would. I pray to see and then respond to the needs of the people I encounter as God wills.
Sadly, I saw myself as the Pharisee. Going just so far, but not seeing the complete picture. Arlene's idea of seeing the world through Jesus' loving eyes would solve my short-sightedness. If only it were possible!
