This is a real thought provoker. I do feel God is telling me to let go of my fear of being really generous with my time with certain people. God (I think) wants me to dare to let go of the control I have held on to for dear life. It is a bit scary but I do want to step out and say "yes".
The passage could mean so many things, i.e., the story of Jesus' death and resurrection; the idea of putting our own evil thoughts and deeds away and let good deeds spring in their place; the idea that we should just let go and let God be in charge of our life altogether. I need to think about all the activities and thoughts I have that I'm sure are not God-Thoughts or God-Activities. The first thing I should do is contemplate those things, name them and be repentant... Thus making space in my life for following Jesus more closely.
