Interesting how the SOLO book tells us that Jesus built his answer on Old Testament ideas. Somehow that's comforting for me. Ties things together. I wonder how the scholar felt about being ALMOST there.
I agree, Bev, that it is interesting to see Jesus as a rabbi. Sometimes I feel we, too, get caught up in tiny points and miss the big picture - maybe we even do it in order to avoid this simple message! Again I am thinking of The Shack.
It really is that simple - and hard - it is all about love!
The Lord gave me a break-through with a difficult person in my life over the last two weeks and I am so thankful. Many times it is my own fault for not communicating clearly. I was at my wits end and now I feel like I have been given a new direction for this relationship. Yahoo! Thank you Lord!
