I pray that we all walk more closely with God. I, myself, have pulled away over the last year and a half and I so want to be closer and more open to his love. I especially pray for his healing and guidance for Esther. Amen
With my Learning Skills background, I can talk about educational readiness for hours on end. Mostly giving parents the responsibility. Is it the same with our feel for God? Or is God working within us to find this readiness. I have no idea. This passage left more questions than answers. The simple answer is for me to read the Bible more, but I feel there's more toit than that. I will pray for Kathryn, Esther, and my Matthew in double time this week.
I find it a lot easier to think about what I need to DO than to think about my relationship with God. Especially when I am not in the driver's seat. I pray we will all feel God reaching down to touch a shoulder or take a hand as we walk along this life-path. None of us is alone.
For me, doing these daily devotions and then talking with you fellow bloggers about what we have read and how it strikes us, helps me with my readiness to be closer to God. And to remember to include God in my day to day, hour by hour life. Weren't Jesus' disciples lucky to know Jesus in the flesh, in the here and now. Maybe our faith is stronger because we can't see him face to face. But that day is coming!
I'm remembering you all in my prayers, as well as I am able. Remember I'm the one who confessed the other day to not being very good about my praying, but with God's help, I'm trying to do better.
